Following a $30M Series B in 2026 co-led by Prosus Ventures and Tomales Bay Capital, we are entering a hyper-growth phase. With total funding over $42M, we are aggressively expanding our product footprint into new consumer verticals that will redefine digital identity for millions.

THE OPPORTUNITY
You'll build and structure Equal's design function from scratch.
This is a rare kind of role: real product scale (1M+ users) combined with a completely blank slate on process, standards, and team. You'll set the design bar for our 1-10+ growth phase.

- Build Equal's design function from the ground up — process, standards, and the first hires under you
- Set the design point of view for each recent vertical as it launches
- Operate as the most senior design voice in the company, working directly with the founders
- Shape how design is evaluated, hired for, and grown at Equal going forward

- A track record of building a design function from zero at a consumer-scale Indian product
- A portfolio that shows a product's design maturing over time, not just polished end states
- Comfort operating with no design leadership above you but the founders
