STAFF LINUX DRIVER APPS ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for an experienced Linux Driver Development Apps Engineer to support AMD Embedded and x86 customers across Linux driver development, system software enablement, platform bring-up, customer issue triage, technical escalation, debug, validation alignment, and production readiness.




This role serves as the technical bridge between customers, FAEs, Product Management, Program Management, Linux Driver Engineering, Firmware Engineering, BIOS Engineering, Platform Engineering, Validation, QA, and Customer Support teams.
The Apps Engineer will own customer-facing technical engagements from initial requirement clarification through Linux driver analysis, issue reproduction, root cause investigation, workaround development, engineering escalation, fix validation, and closure. The role requires solid Linux kernel and driver development expertise combined with customer-first communication, structured problem solving, and disciplined engineering execution.
The successful candidate will help customers successfully deploy AMD Embedded x86 platforms by resolving Linux driver, BSP, kernel, device enablement, hardware/software interaction, and platform integration issues across customer use cases
