About the Role
We are looking for experienced ASR Language Experts / Linguists to support the development and quality evaluation of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) systems. The role involves evaluating speech-to-text outputs, identifying linguistic errors, and ensuring high accuracy, fluency, and naturalness across Indic languages.
Languages Required
We are looking for experts in Indic languages other than Hindi and English, including:
Kannada
Telugu
Tamil
Malayalam
Bengali
Marathi
Gujarati
Punjabi
Odia
Assamese
Other Indian regional languages
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and validate ASR / Speech-to-Text outputs.
Perform transcription, annotation, and linguistic quality checks.
Identify errors in pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and context.
Compare audio input with ASR-generated transcripts and assess accuracy.
Perform word-level and sentence-level error analysis.




Evaluate speech data for accents, dialects, pronunciation, background noise, and code-switching.
Identify linguistic and cultural issues affecting ASR performance.
Maintain accuracy and consistency while following defined linguistic guidelines.
Collaborate with QA, AI/ML, NLP, and engineering teams to improve ASR models.
Prepare error reports and provide actionable linguistic feedback.
Support dataset creation, annotation, validation, and model evaluation activities.
Required Skills
2–7 years of experience in Linguistics, Language QA, ASR, NLP, Speech Technology, Transcription, or related fields.
Native or near-native proficiency in at least one Indic language other than Hindi/English.
Robust understanding of grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and regional language nuances.
Experience with speech/audio transcription and linguistic annotation.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
