Role Description This is an on-site volunteer Reporter role based in Rewari. The Reporter will cover SRI’s programs and community initiatives, gathering information from field visits, events, and stakeholder interactions. Daily responsibilities include conducting interviews with students, families, educators, and team members, and producing transparent, accurate news reports, stories, and features that reflect SRI’s impact. The role involves preparing multimedia content (such as photos, short videos, and audio snippets), verifying facts, and collaborating with the communications team to share timely updates across internal and external platforms. The Reporter will help highlight local stories of change, ensuring that voices from the community are represented respectfully and authentically.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Reporting and News Writing skills to cover programs, events, and community stories with accuracy and fairness.




Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication and Writing skills for interviews, field notes, and story development.
Candidates should possess basic Multimedia skills (e.g., photography, video, or audio recording) to support visual and audio storytelling.
Ability to communicate in English and local languages (e.g., Hindi) is highly beneficial.
Demonstrated interest in social impact, education, or community development is preferred.
Strong ethical judgment, sensitivity to diverse communities, and respect for confidentiality are essential.
Ability to work on-site in Rewari, manage time independently, and collaborate with SRI staff and partners.
Relevant education or training in journalism, communications, or related fields is an advantage but not mandatory.
