Role Purpose :
Common area finishes — lobbies, corridors, staircases, washrooms, lift lobbies, facade-facing interiors, and other shared zones — are the first and most persistent point of contact international occupiers have with a Phoenix Group building. Inconsistent specification, weak vendor selection, or poor site quality control in these areas directly affects leasing perception and long-term maintenance cost across 25+ Mn SFT of delivered space. This role is the single point of functional expertise for common area finishes across the portfolio:
setting the design standards the design team builds from, strengthening procurement's vendor and material decisions, driving quality and sequencing discipline on live projects, and supporting EFS in sustaining finish standards on operational buildings. The role reports to Director – Projects but carries direct, personal accountability for CAF quality outcomes — the specialist is expected to flag and resolve quality and specification gaps proactively, not merely advise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Team Support :
Create and own Phoenix Group's CAF standards framework: specifications, preferred/approved brand lists, performance benchmarks, good practice guidelines, and method statements for all common area finish categories (flooring, wall cladding, false ceilings, signage zones, washroom fit-outs, lift lobbies, staircases).
Develop and maintain a standard budget/cost benchmark for CAF works, to be used as the reference for project-level b
