Position Title: Antenna Design Engineer

Job Summary
ULOOK is seeking an Antenna Design Engineer to lead the design, simulation and validation of high-performance antenna systems for next-generation spaceborne and terrestrial RF applications. In this role, you will take advanced antenna concepts from electromagnetic simulation through hardware integration and test range characterization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional RF, mechanical and systems teams to deliver compact, ultra-effective antenna solutions built for extreme environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, simulate and optimize custom single-element, array and wideband antennas (microstrip patch, aperture-coupled, cavity-backed spiral, horn, slot and planar architectures).
• Execute high-fidelity EM simulations using ANSYS HFSS, CST or FEKO to optimize gain, efficiency, radiation pattern, axial ratio, bandwidth and isolation.
• Architect multi-polarization topologies including linear,
dual-linear and dual circular polarization and design matching networks, feeds and power splitters.
• Characterize antenna performance using VNAs, anechoic chambers and near-field/far-field measurement systems (S-parameters, VSWR, gain, radiation patterns, ECC).
• Integrate antenna systems with RF front-end while minimizing mutual coupling, EMI/EMC issues and thermal/environmental detuning.
• Provide critical input on RF PCB stack-ups, component placement, grounding, shielding and trace impedance control.
• Troubleshoot complex RF/antenna performance anomalies during prototype testing and integration.
• Collaborate with RF, mechanical and systems teams to meet tight SWaP constraints.
• Generate technical documentation, simulation and test procedures to support design reviews.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Communication, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
