Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site Direct Tax role based in Mumbai. The professional will handle direct tax compliance, including preparation and review of tax returns, tax computations, and supporting documentation for individuals and entities. The role involves drafting responses to tax authorities pertaining to Assessment, Reassessment, Penalty notices, Recovery notices and TDS returns. Strictly complying the deadlines. Also, researching changes in tax laws.

Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Indian direct tax laws, including the Income-tax Act, rules, and relevant regulations; ability to interpret and apply tax provisions to practical scenarios.
• Experience in direct tax compliance and advisory, including preparation and review of tax returns, tax computations, and tax audit-related documentation.
• Ability to conduct technical tax research, analyze notifications and case laws, and prepare transparent, concise technical notes and client communications.




• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and tax-related software or ERPs used for return preparation, documentation, and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present tax issues and recommendations in an organized and client-friendly manner.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Team-oriented mindset, professional integrity, and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients in a structured, on-site environment.
• Semi Qualified, or graduate; prior experience in direct tax is preferred.
• Willingness to stay updated with evolving tax laws, digital tools
