About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrolyte, Separator & Electrochemical Validation Engineer with hands-on experience in battery materials development, electrochemical testing, and analytical characterization. The candidate will be responsible for developing and validating electrolyte formulations, evaluating separator materials, conducting coin-cell and pouch-cell testing, and supporting next-generation Lithium-Ion and Sodium-Ion battery programs.
Key Responsibilities
Electrolyte Development & Validation
Develop and optimize electrolyte formulations for Lithium-Ion and Sodium-Ion batteries.
Evaluate solvents, salts, and functional additives to improve battery performance and cycle life.
Conduct technical discussions with global suppliers for electrolyte development and benchmarking.
Validate electrolyte performance through electrochemical and analytical testing.
Analyze electrolyte compatibility with electrode and separator materials.
Separator Validation & Optimization
Evaluate polymer-based separators and coating technologies for battery applications.
Perform physical,
thermal, chemical, and mechanical characterization of separator materials.
Benchmark separator performance against commercial products and supplier offerings.
Support separator selection and optimization based on cell-level performance.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Analyze large experimental datasets and identify trends and correlations.
Prepare technical reports, validation summaries, and supplier evaluation reports.
Maintain structured experimental records and databases.
Required Qualifications
PhD with 2-4 years of experience in Battery R&D;, Electrolyte Development, Separator Validation, or Electrochemical Testing.
Experience with coin-cell and pouch-cell assembly/testing.
Robust understanding of Lithium-Ion and/or Sodium-Ion battery chemistry.
Hands-on experience with KF, HF Titration, SEM, XRD, UTM, and viscosity testing.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills with proficiency in MS E
