About Zudu AI
Zudu AI builds enterprise voice AI agents that handle sales and support calls for businesses at scale. We are growing fast across engineering, sales, marketing, and operations. Hiring is now a core function, and this role owns the front of it.
The Role
You will run the top of our hiring funnel. Multiple open roles at once: backend and AI engineers, QA, sales, marketing, design. You are the first voice every candidate hears, so you carry our brand on every call. You work directly with the founder and hiring managers. High volume, high ownership, fast feedback.
Non-Negotiables
1. Excellent spoken English. This is the single most important requirement. Not conversational, not "good enough." You will screen senior engineers and enterprise sales candidates, some of them US-facing. You need explicit pronunciation, full sentences, and zero hesitation. Every shortlisted candidate will be assessed on a live spoken round.
2. Confidence on the phone. You will call a backend engineer with 8 years of experience and ask them to consider a startup. You will call a VP of Sales.



You cannot shrink in those conversations. We are looking for someone who speaks with authority and holds their ground when pushed.
3. Ability to hire for technical roles. You do not need to code. You do need to read an engineering JD and understand what it is actually asking for. You should know backend from frontend, be able to tell a real project from resume padding, and learn our stack fast: Python, Node.js, React, LLMs and voice AI, telephony, AWS and GCP.
What You Will Do
Source candidates on LinkedIn, Naukri, Internshala, GitHub, and through referrals
Screen resumes fast. Recent drives pulled 200+ applications per role, so you shortlist against clear criteria, not gut feel
Run first-round phone screens, including technical pre-screens for engineering roles
Coordinate campus placement drives with colleges across South India
Schedule interviews, follow up relentlessly, keep no-shows low
