We are looking for a Furniture Designer with solid technical drawing capabilities and hands-on experience in designing modular as well as bespoke furniture.
This is not purely a conceptual design role. The person should be able to take a furniture idea from design intent → detailed technical drawings → material specification → vendor coordination → production → final execution.
Experience working on premium residential and hospitality projects is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design custom and bespoke furniture including sofas, beds, wardrobes, consoles, dining tables, side tables, storage units, vanities, bars and other interior furniture.
Develop detailed production-ready technical drawings with accurate dimensions, sections, elevations, joinery and construction details.
Design and detail modular furniture systems, particularly wardrobes, kitchens, storage and cabinetry.
Translate design concepts/reference images into technically executable furniture designs.
Understand and specify materials including:
Solid wood and veneers
Plywood/MDF
Laminates
Metal
Stone
Glass
Upholstery and fabrics
Hardware and fittings
Prepare material specifications, finishes and hardware schedules.
Coordinate directly with carpenters, furniture manufacturers, workshops and vendors.
Resolve technical and production issues during prototyping/manufacturing.
Review shop drawings and ensure that the finished product matches the approved design.
Coordinate with interior designers, stylists, architects, project managers and site teams.
Conduct site measurements where required and incorporate site conditions into drawings.
Maintain drawing revisions and proper documentation across projects.
