We are looking for a Social Media Manager who understands social media beyond simply posting content — someone who can understand audiences, identify trends, plan content and build a strong digital presence.
The Role
As a Social Media Manager – Political & Digital Communications, you will manage and execute social media communication across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube.
You will work closely with content writers, graphic designers, video editors and clients/public representatives to plan, create, publish and optimise content.
The ideal candidate should be creative, proactive, politically aware and comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace.
Key Responsibilities




Develop and manage weekly and monthly social media content calendars.
Plan content around campaigns, events, current affairs, trends and audience interests.
Manage Instagram, Facebook, X and YouTube accounts.
Coordinate with graphic designers, video editors and content writers for timely content delivery.
Write, review and refine social media captions and post copy.
Schedule and publish posts, reels, stories and other content.
Monitor comments, messages, mentions and audience engagement.
Identify relevant social media trends and content opportunities.
Analyse social media insights and performance.
Track reach, engagement, followers, views and overall content performance.
Prepare regular social media performance reports.
Identify high-performing content and recommend improvements.
Suggest new content formats, campaigns and creative ideas.
Maintain consistency in brand voice, messaging and communication.
