BLACRO is looking for a talented Freelance Fashion Designer / T-Shirt Designer to join us in building a recent Indian streetwear language.
We’re not looking for someone who simply knows how to make graphics.
We’re looking for someone who understands fashion, culture, silhouettes, storytelling and streetwear — and can translate ideas into designs that feel distinctive, premium and relevant.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- T-shirt graphics and artwork
- Streetwear concepts and collections
- Placement prints, typography & visual compositions
- Indian culture / mythology-inspired contemporary designs
- New product concepts and design development
- Collaborating closely with our creative direction and brand identity
- Contributing to future BLACRO collections
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Design, Graphic Design or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of streetwear, contemporary fashion and garment graphics.
- Experience designing T-shirts, apparel graphics,
prints and placements is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of typography, composition, colour theory and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or equivalent design software.
- Ability to develop designs from concept to production-ready artwork.
- Understanding of printing techniques, fabric applications and garment construction is an advantage.
- Strong research skills with the ability to draw inspiration from Indian culture, art, mythology and contemporary visual culture.
- Ability to create original concepts rather than relying heavily on existing references or trends.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for premium, refined aesthetics.
- Ability to take creative direction, incorporate feedback and work independently.
- Portfolio is mandatory and should demonstrate original fashion/streetwear work.
