NextBill is building an autonomous accounting platform for small and mid-sized businesses in India. We simplify invoicing, GST, payments, inventory, and other financial workflows through automation and intelligent software.
Role Description
We’re looking for an AI/ML Intern to join us for a 6-month, paid, full-time remote internship. with our product and engineering teams.
You’ll work on real AI/ML problems across financial data, including document understanding, anomaly detection, prediction, RAG, and AI-powered workflows. You’ll be involved in experimenting with models, evaluating results, integrating them into production, and improving their performance over time.
You’ll also research recent AI/ML techniques, build prototypes, and document your work.
What We’re Looking For
Strong fundamentals in Machine Learning and Data Science




Good knowledge of Python, NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn
Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow
Understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation
Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data
Strong problem-solving and research skills
Experience building ML/AI projects beyond tutorials
Familiarity with Git, APIs, or cloud platforms is a plus
Degree or ongoing education in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field is preferred
