Role Summary
We are looking for a skilled Cloud WAF Engineer with robust experience in GCP, Web Application Security, WAF, DDoS protection and security operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing, tuning and supporting WAF solutions across cloud, internet-facing and internal applications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain WAF solutions across cloud, edge and on-premise environments.
Work with GCP Cloud WAF, F5 and Akamai WAF platforms.
Configure and tune WAF policies, baseline configurations and security controls.
Develop custom WAF rules and manage security exceptions.
Perform false-positive analysis and recommend appropriate policy updates.
Analyze WAF and security logs to identify malicious traffic and web attacks.
Support WAF-related security incidents in coordination with SOC/CSIRT teams.
Implement rate limiting and DDoS protection controls.
Handle HTTPS inspection,
SSL/TLS termination and certificate management.
Support DevSecOps pipelines and identify opportunities for security automation.
Troubleshoot connectivity, network and WAF-related service issues.
Maintain WAF configurations, operational procedures and technical documentation.
Coordinate with cloud, cyber security, compliance, vendor and business teams.
Participate in change management, incident management and Agile activities.
