Job Title: General Manager – 35 MW Power Plant (WHRB)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented professional to lead operations of a 35 MW Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) based Power Plant. The General Manager will be responsible for overall management including production, maintenance, safety, statutory compliance, and team leadership to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the entire operation and maintenance (O&M;) of the 35 MW WHRB Power Plant.

Ensure optimum power generation while maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and environmental compliance.

Monitor daily performance, fuel efficiency, and equipment reliability.

Handle breakdown analysis and implement preventive & predictive maintenance strategies.

Coordinate with the utility department, grid operators, and other internal stakeholders.

Lead budgeting, manpower planning, and performance improvement initiatives.

Ensure all statutory and legal compliances (CEA, Factory Act, Pollution Control Board, etc.).

Oversee annual shutdown planning, resource allocation, and timely execution.

Lead technical audits, energy conservation initiatives, and process optimizations.

Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.

Key Requirements:

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 15–20 years in power plant operations, with at least 5+ years in WHRB-based captive power plants

Solid knowledge of WHRB, AFBC/CFBC boilers, TG sets, and high-voltage systems

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills

Sound knowledge of safety, statutory norms, and energy management practices
