About the Role:The team:
Responsibilities and impact:
Core Network Engineering (Juniper, Palo Alto, F5)
- Juniper Routing & Switching: Manage the full lifecycle of Juniper EX/QFX switches and MX routers. Configure and troubleshoot complex routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLAN segmentation, and port security.
- Security Operations: Administer Palo Alto firewalls. Manage security policies, analyze traffic logs for "Deny/Drop" issues, and implement User-ID/App-ID features to secure business flows.
- Application Delivery: Manage F5 BIG-IP load balancers, including Virtual IP (VIP) creation, pool management, and SSL offloading.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
- Terragrunt & Terraform: Maintain network infrastructure state using Terragrunt. You will be responsible for keeping configurations "DRY" (Don't Repeat Yourself) and managing infrastructure-as-code pipelines.
- Ansible Automation: Create and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate routine tasks such as OS upgrades (Junos/Pan-OS), bulk config updates, and compliance auditing.
What we’re looking for:
Must-Have Technical Skills
- Juniper Networks: Expert-level knowledge of Junos OS (CLI), routing (BGP/OSPF), and switching.
- Security: Solid hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks (Panorama experience is a plus).
- Load Balancing: Proficiency with F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager).
- Automation:
- Terragrunt: Must understand state file management and modular infrastructure code (not just basic Terraform).
- Ansible: Ability to write playbooks from scratch for network automation.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Alkira: Experience with Cloud Network as a Service (CNaaS).
- Public Cloud: AWS (Advanced Networking) or GCP networking knowledge.
- Scripting: Python for network automation.
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Executive Presence: Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and calmly to non-technical leadership.
- Independence: Capable of traveling to client sites and executing deployments so
