The Accountant cum Cashier is responsible for managing daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, handling bookkeeping activities, and supporting the organization's accounting functions. The role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and knowledge of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities Accounting Duties
- Maintain books of accounts and financial records.
- Record daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support audits by providing required financial documents and records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting and cash handling.
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Tally, Busy, SAP, or ERP systems.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic taxation regulations (for India-based roles).
