They track stock levels, reconcile physical counts with digital databases, and develop strategies to minimize shrinkage, prevent stockouts, and optimize warehouse space.
- Key Responsibilities
- Stock Monitoring: Conduct regular physical inventory audits and daily cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Reconcile differences between physical counts and system records, investigating losses or damages.
- Order Management: Place restock orders with vendors and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Data Entry: Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in inventory management software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
- Space Optimization: Organize warehouse and stockroom layouts to facilitate productive product retrieval and stock rotation.
- Reporting: Generate reports on inventory turnover, shrinkage, and high-demand products for management.
