Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day production activities during the assigned shift.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
- Supervise operators, workers, and contract manpower during the shift.
- Allocate manpower and work responsibilities effectively.
- Monitor production processes, machine performance, and material consumption.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for timely resolution of machine breakdowns.
- Coordinate with Quality and other departments to maintain product quality.
- Ensure adherence to production specifications, process parameters, and SOPs.
- Monitor raw material and consumable usage and minimize process losses.
- Maintain shift-wise production reports, downtime records, and other required documents.
- Identify production issues and take corrective action to avoid delays and breakdowns.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the production area.
- Strictly follow and enforce all safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Conduct shift handover and communicate production status, pending work, and issues to the next shift.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce rejection, wastage, and downtime.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of finished and semi-finished material.
- Report any major production, quality, safety, or manpower issue to the Production Manager.
