The Lead Engineer in the Compressor Airfoils team will lead the activities
- contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems
- related to New products in Compressor Airfoil components. Leading activities linked to technical improvement of new and existing product components and skillset development within the team. In this role the Lead engineer is expected to be engaged in New design and product development, Product cost out and design
- robustness improvement programs.
- This role involves mechanical design and component ownership of Compressor Airfoil components.
- Project scope includes NPIs, services programs, Product Cost-Out, supply chain activities for recent designs.
- Drive engineering deliverables by establishing project schedules for design reviews and analysis. Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, materials, and drafting to issue compressor hardware product definitions.
- Integrate Lean principles and continuous improvement practices.



Create standardized workflows and identify innovative approaches to enhance processes and design methodologies.
- Build engagement with Fleet and DLE teams. Keep abreast of ongoing field and manufacturing issues
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
- Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
- Support & involvement in broad company-wide initiatives in support of GE Gas Power business objectives (i.e.P2V, Lean and Problem Solving)
