Ace Rooms Ltd is a UK-based B2B travel technology company with over 16 years of experience in global hotel and transfer distribution. The platform enables travel agents and API partners to search live inventory, book hotels and transfers, and manage payments. The company is currently undergoing a full platform rebuild on Microsoft Azure, migrating from a legacy monolith to a modern, service-based architecture.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Back End Developer to join the core engineering team and contribute to the ground-up rebuild of our hotel-distribution platform. The developer will work on a.NET service-based architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure, building APIs, data layers, and integrations that power both the customer-facing Angular frontend and partner API connections.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain back-end services using C# and.NET (ASP.NET Core).
- Design, build, and version RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party partner integrations.
- Implement and manage the Azure SQL database schema; write productive, optimised T-SQL.
- Build and maintain the Redis-based availability and pricing layer; ensure SQL writes occur only at final stage.
- Integrate Azure Service Bus for asynchronous event handling between services.
- Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM) for routing, security policies, and API versioning.
- Implement server-side payment validation, booking lifecycle management, and idempotency controls.
- Maintain and improve GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for deployment to Azure Web Apps.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and maintain clear documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- C# /.NET —Solid commercial experience building back-end services with ASP.NET Core.
- RESTful APIs —Designing and building APIs for SPA frontends and third-party integrations.
- Azure SQL / T-SQL —Schema design, query optimisation, and Entity Framework Co
