Job Title:Sr. Data Engineer - SAS ETL

Experience: 6-8 Years

Employment Type: Contract (6 Months, extendable based on performance and project needs)

Location: Bangalore (Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai)

Job Summary

We are looking for a SAS ETL Expert with strong SQL expertiseto support data integration and analytics initiatives. The role involves building scalable ETL pipelines that enable reporting, regulatory compliance, and business insights.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using SAS (Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, etc.).
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets.
- Integrate data from multiple sources and third-party data providers.
- Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure high data quality and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and support reporting and analytics needs
- Implement and maintain data governance and audit controls aligned with domain.




- Optimize ETL performance and ensure scalability of data pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across upstream and downstream systems.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and data mappings.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience in SAS ETL development.
- Solid proficiency in SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning).
- Experience with SAS tools such as Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, or SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience working with large relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Python for automation, data processing, or analytics.
- Familiarity with Tableau for dashboards and reporting.
- Understanding of insurance data models (Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Premiums, Losses), familiarity with regulatory
