Key Responsibilities CNC Programming:
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for CNC Turning Centers, Sliding Head Machines, VMCs, and Multi-Spindle Machines.
- Generate programs using CAM software and machine controllers.
- Develop new machining processes for brass components as per drawings and customer requirements.
- Prepare and maintain program documentation and setup sheets.
Process Development
- Analyze engineering drawings, GD&T; requirements, and product specifications.
- Select suitable machining strategies, cutting parameters, tools, and fixtures.
- Reduce cycle time and improve machine utilization.
- Conduct process capability studies and implement improvements.
Production Support
- Support machine setup and prove-out of current programs.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve process stability.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and operators during program trials.
- Ensure smooth transition from development to mass production.
Tooling & Fixture Management
- Recommend suitable cutting tools, inserts, collets, and work-holding systems.
- Design and improve fixtures to enhance productivity.
- Monitor tool life and optimize tooling costs.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Work closely with Quality Department during first-off approval and PPAP activities.
- Implement corrective actions for machining-related quality issues.
- Maintain process control and reduce rejection rates.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Cost Reduction projects.
- Improve OEE, productivity, and process efficiency.
