The Quality Assurance Engineer/Officer is responsible for ensuring that all galvanizing processes and finished products meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company quality requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, quality documentation, process monitoring, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high-quality standards throughout production.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials and consumables used in the galvanizing process.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of galvanized products.
- Verify coating thickness, surface finish, adhesion, and appearance as per applicable standards.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
Testing & Quality Verification
- Perform and monitor quality tests including coating thickness measurement and visual inspection.
- Maintain calibration records of measuring and testing equipment.
- Ensure testing procedures are conducted according to approved standards and procedures.
- Coordinate third-party inspections whenever required.
Process Quality Monitoring
- Monitor pretreatment, pickling, fluxing, galvanizing, and finishing operations to ensure process compliance.
- Identify quality deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Work closely with production teams to improve process consistency and product quality.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality issues.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
- Prepare quality certificates and inspection reports for customers.
- Maintain traceability records and quality logs.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
