Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in Cloud Hosting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to design, secure and automate our cloud platforms as well as supporting our developer community. The role is critical in reducing time to deploy while providing secure boundaries and guardrails for AtkinsRealis developers in Azure and other cloud deployments
The role involves working with service owners to deploy solutions in a global Hub and Spoke Azure workplace deployed under Microsoft’s Cloud Architecture Framework using Enterprise Scale Architecture which has been deployed via Infrastructure as Code.

Hybrid Cloud
Understand of Azure IaaS, including but not limited to.
Understanding of hosting virtual machines on the Azure platform, including deployment, connectivity, patching, monitoring and images.
Understanding of networking on the Azure platform including Private Endpoints, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups and connectivity via S2S VPNs and ExpressRoute.
Understanding of Storage service on the Azure platform including Blob, File, Recovery Vaults and Site recovery.
Experience of IaaS in another global Hyperscaler (AWS, OCI, GCP) in addition to Microsoft Azure.
Define and maintain reference architectures for Cloud and Hybrid environments, platform standards and user guides.
Improve observability, detection and alerting using built in services to the cloud platform.
Enforce governance using Policy, management groups, RBAC, and tagging standards.
Experience of on-premises infrastructure technologies, servers, storage and networking.
Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives (on premises to Cloud, hybrid models).
Infrastructure as Code/DevSecOps
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code, why it’s used and common deployment techniques.
Using Azure DevOps to deploy and update Cloud services via Infrastructure as Code.
Create new Azure DevOps pipelines and troubleshoot when pipelines fail
