Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Supplier Technical Support• Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers for product and process-related issues.• Review supplier manufacturing processes, process capability, and quality systems.• Identify potential technical risks and drive preventive actions at supplier end.• Support suppliers in achieving required product quality, reliability, and delivery targets.""2. New Product Development & APQP• Participate in current product development activities from concept/design freeze through SOP.• Review and approve supplier APQP deliverables, including PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, MSA, SPC and capability studies.• Ensure compliance with drawing, GD&T;, material, heat treatment, and special-process requirements.• Support PPAP/PTR activities and ensure timely closure of development-related issues""3. Process & Manufacturing Engineering• Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes for forging, casting, machining, heat treatment, grinding, balancing,



surface treatment and other special processes as applicable.• Conduct process audits and identify gaps related to process robustness and product quality.• Drive implementation of poka-yoke, automation, error-proofing and process controls.• Review critical process parameters and ensure adequate monitoring and control.""4. Quality & Problem Solving• Lead technical investigation of supplier quality issues and customer/field complaints.• Drive structured problem-solving using 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, DOE and other appropriate methodologies.• Analyze dimensional, metallurgical, material and functional failures.• Coordinate root-cause analysis through component inspection, cut-section analysis, metallurgical analysis and laboratory validation.• Ensure effective corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.""5.
