You will: (responsibilities)

• Join a team of skilled and experienced technologists tasked with maintaining and enhancing our large scale, globally deployed RedHat Linux-based platform.
• Take ownership of components on a global level, working with operational counterparts and customers to prioritize and execute on enhancements, extensions and remediation in these critical components of our infrastructure.
• Use declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation across a mixture of strategic engineering and design projects.
• Add features, manage,



and tune configuration, and perform deep-level troubleshooting of the existing Linux platform management systems and Linux O/S configuration and builds.
• Be involved in the architectural design and implementation of new solutions to support the fast-paced, dynamic needs of the business.
• Lead the development of new ideas and policies at an inter-departmental level.

You have: (must-have skills)

• Expert knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols.
• Experience of using any modern config management system (examples such as Salt Stack, Puppet, or Chef) to automate management of a large-scale Linux deployment.
• Ability to write robust, maintainable code in Python and/or Perl.
• Effective troubleshooting skills across hardware, O/S, network, and storage.
• Ability to convey complex technical topics to a non-technical audience, identify a
