Job Summary

The VP, Engineering Cyber Security Manager will lead and manage a team of cybersecurity engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust security solutions across LPL Financial's critical infrastructure and applications. This role requires a strong leader with deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, a strategic mindset, and excellent communication skills to protect the firm's assets and client data.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of cybersecurity engineers,



fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Develop and execute the cybersecurity engineering strategy, aligning with overall business objectives and risk appetite.
* Oversee the design, architecture, and implementation of security controls, tools, and platforms, including but not limited to SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, vulnerability management, and cloud security solutions.
* Drive the adoption of secure development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices across engineering teams.
* Collaborate with development, operations, and other IT teams to integrate security into the entire technology stack.
* Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning, and oversee remediation efforts.
* Stay abreast of emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry best practices to proactively enhance LPL Financial's security posture.
