The RCDS Clinical Nurse Specialist post is an extremely rewarding role, with the opportunity to support diagnosis, manage and care for people who have symptoms concerning for cancer but do not display specific tumour site red flags.
Applications are invited from professional registered nurses who demonstrate compassion, empathy, have excellent communication and organisational skills, and experience in caring for patients with complex needs in a relevant clinical setting.
The CNS will facilitate MDT working across professional boundaries in health and social care settings, including within the regional cancer network, to provide a direct clinical service to patients,
work independently to organise appropriate investigations and participate in developing the service model; with the intention to partially cover GP Lead leave when required clinical competencies within the new role have been met.
