Position Overview
The Transport Executive is responsible for managing and coordinating transportation operations, ensuring effective logistics, cost-effective fleet management, and compliance with safety regulations while supporting the organization's supply chain objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Operations Management Oversee daily transportation activities including route planning, scheduling, and fleet deployment. Coordinate with drivers, warehouse teams,
and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials. Monitor vehicle utilization and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Fleet Management Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring all fleet assets are properly maintained and comply with safety standards. Track vehicle performance metrics, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs. Coordinate with vendors for repairs, servicing, and fleet upgrades.
Compliance and Safety Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations including DOT requirements, driver hours of service, and vehicle safety standards. Maintain accurate records of driver qualifications, vehicle inspections, and accident reports. Implement and enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety training.
