The Pharmacy Department, within the Golden Jubilee National University Hospital is integrated across its multiple services and the pharmacists in this post will work to provide safe, effective and person centred care for every patient, every time. They will work in collaboration with our friendly pharmacy department and be an essential part of the wider multidisciplinary teams. This is a excellent opportunity to work in a four pillar role in a dynamic team, with clinical practice time, education duties, and scope to develop your own research. As part of the role we will provide regular planned development sessions, linked to the RPS Core Advanced Practice portfolio.
You will be responsible for providing a full range of clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care directly to intensive care, thoracic, cardiac surgery, cardiology and orthopaedic surgery patients. You will provide prescribing support to clinical staff to ensure safe, clinical and cost effective use of medicines. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with policies regarding medicines management, safety and medicines legislation.
