As Assistant Corporate Controller in our finance group in our Bangalore Office,you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring proper treatment of complex transactions, and supporting the reporting of results across our global offices. The Assistant Corporate Controller will report to the Corporate Finance Director.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in accounting (Big 4 background is a significant plus). 1+ years of experience post internship
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of US GAAP (specifically ASC 718, 606 and 260) and SEC reporting is essential.
- Global Exposure: Experience with off-shore subsidiaries is a must.
- Technical Proficiency: Robust understanding of US GAAP (specifically ASC 718, 606, and 260) and SEC reporting requirements.
- Education: Certified Accountant (CPA) is a must.
- Systems: Experience with NetSuite and Workiva is highly preferred to help automate reporting workflows.
Communication:
Strong English skills are essential for collaborating with our global subsidiaries.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of Consolidated and Solo financial statements; coordinate the documentation for SEC-compliant reporting and GAAP filings.
- Close & Audit: Execute the quarterly and annual close processes. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors to ensure a smooth audit flow.
- Compliance: Maintain and apply consistent accounting policies and ensure internal controls (SOX) are operating effectively.
- Revenue Recognition (ASC 606): Review trading deals and revenue streams to ensure compliance with the five-step model.
- Workiva reporting: Manage the reporting and proper accounting treatment for all SEC filings.
