Primarily responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and cost plans at various design stages, while supporting tendering, value engineering, and cost estimation activities. The position also assists in selected post-contract commercial tasks, ensuring cost accuracy, compliance with applicable standards, and effective coordination with project stakeholders. General Description of Role and Responsibilities: Measurement & Quantification Undertake quantity take-offs for Electrical, Fire Fighting, Plumbing,



and HVAC work using applicable standards. Use software tools (e.g., CostX, AutoCAD) for quantity take-off, summarize quantities, and transfer data into BOQs or cost plans, including carrying out bulk checks. Draft or validate Bills of Quantities, including carrying out bulk checks. Cost Planning & Estimation Prepare cost plans at different design stages, including Concept, Schematic, and Design Development. Analyse and adjust unit rates, price BOQ items, collect market quotations, and assist in the preparation of tender estimates. Support value engineering exercises and cost plan reporting. Tendering & Procurement Support Have a basic understanding of the tendering process and tender documentation. Assist in tender estimate preparation and evaluation support.
