Calculate material consumption, wastage, and process losses.

Analyze the impact of changes in raw-material prices on product costs.

Production Cost Control

Monitor actual production costs against standard/budgeted costs.

Analyze variances in:Material consumption,Labor,Power and fuel, Dyeing/processing,Machine utilization,Wastage and rejection

Identify areas for cost reduction.

Inventory & Stock Analysis

Monitor inventory valuation and material consumption.

Coordinate with stores, purchase, production, and finance teams.

Investigate abnormal stock variances and material losses.

Calculate and allocate factory overheads .

Review overhead absorption rates periodically.

Analyze fixed and variable costs.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Prepare annual and monthly cost budgets.

Assist in forecasting manufacturing costs.





Compare actual performance with budgets and explain significant deviations.

MIS & Management Reporting

Production variance

Cost Reduction / Continuous Improvement

Evaluate alternative raw materials, suppliers, processes, and production methods.

Coordination with Other Departments

Production: consumption, efficiency, wastage, capacity.

Purchase: raw-material prices and supplier quotations.

Sales/Merchandising: customer quotations and order profitability.

Finance: accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.

Planning: production plans and capacity utilization.

Quality: rejection, rework, and quality-related costs.

ERP & Sap Costing Systems

Maintain costing data and master information in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other textile ERP software.

Ensure BOMs, routings, standard costs, and rates are accurate.

Improve automation and reliability of costing reports etc..
