Key Responsibilities

A. Accounting & Bookkeeping

· Record day-to-day accounting transactions in the accounting software.

· Pass and verify Purchase, Sales, Bank, Cash and Journal entries.

· Ensure proper accounting and classification of expenses, purchases, sales, receipts and payments.

· Verify supporting documents before passing accounting entries.

· Ensure correct ledger, cost centre, GST and other accounting classifications.

· Maintain proper narration and supporting documentation for journal vouchers.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.

B. File & Document Management

· Maintain systematic physical and digital files of accounting and financial documents.

· Maintain files relating to purchase invoices, sales invoices, bank documents, payment vouchers, journal vouchers, vendor documents, and statutory/other supporting documents.

· Ensure documents are properly indexed and easily retrievable.

· Ensure accounting entries are supported by appropriate documentation.

· Maintain confidentiality of financial and business information.





Qualifications & Experience

· Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / equivalent qualification.

· Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.

· Experience in handling Tally and basic excel is preferred.

Personal Attributes

· Detail-oriented and organised.

· Responsible for maintaining confidentiality.

· Proactive in following up on pending matters.

· Willingness to undertake bank visits and other routine operational activities.

Role Objective

The primary objective of the role is to ensure accurate and timely accounting, proper documentation, effective vendor outstanding management and smooth coordination with banks, thereby supporting the Finance & Accounts team in day-to-day operations, budgeting and cash-flow planning.
