Role Overview :

This position functions as a Senior Virtualization Engineer with deep expertise in VMware virtualization technologies, compute hardware, and public cloud environments. The successful candidate must demonstrate advanced proficiency in the installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and business continuity of global virtualization platforms.

The role requires extensive knowledge of enterprise hardware systems, including diverse server platforms and bare-metal technologies. In addition, expert-level capability in the installation, support, and troubleshooting of multiple server operating systems is essential.

This individual must be capable of supporting a global, 24x7 operational setting, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability of critical infrastructure services.

Role & responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise virtualization infrastructure.
- Administer and support Cisco UCS and Dell server platforms, including hardware and firmware management.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain VMware technologies,



including vSphere, vCenter, VCF, and ESXi.
- Implement and administer VMware environments, including NSX and hosting platforms.
- Manage and support cloud environments across AWS and Azure.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware and hypervisor issues; collaborate with internal teams and vendors to drive resolution.
- Analyze system requirements and provide recommendations for capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design, configuration, and installation procedures.
- Coordinate escalations and provide support for projects and operational issues, including after-hours as needed.
- Manage and resolve requests through the virtualization queue within the service management system.
- Adhere to change management processes for system upgrades and operational changes.
