Role Overview
The Senior – Business Valuation role sits within EY’s Strategy and Transactions (SaT) – Valuation, Modelling & Economics (VME) practice. The role is execution‑focused, with primary responsibility for hands‑on valuation of complex financial instruments and portfolio investments, in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The Senior will support financial reporting, portfolio valuation, transaction‑related, and audit‑assist engagements, while also contributing to team development, internal reviews, and delivery quality. The role involves technical client interaction and close collaboration with Managers and Senior Managers.
Key Responsibilities

on Valuation Execution
- Independently perform fair value measurement of complex financial instruments and portfolio investments, primarily for IFRS financial reporting purposes.
- Develop, review, and maintain detailed valuation models using advanced quantitative techniques, including:
- Option pricing models (Black‑Scholes, binomial / lattice models)
- Monte Carlo simulation techniques
- Discounted cash flow and scenario‑based models, apply advanced financial engineering, econometric, and statistical techniques to address complex valuation challenges.
Execute valuations for a broad range of complex securities, including:
- Share‑based payment awards (equity‑settled and cash‑settled awards, market and non‑market vesting conditions) under IFRS 2.
- Convertible instruments, SAFEs, and preferred equity with complex rights.
- Derivatives (equity, interest rate, commodity, credit), warrants, and embedded derivatives
- Contingent consideration,
