Job Summary:

The HVAC Design Engineer shall be responsible for designing, planning, and coordinating HVAC systems for commercial, industrial, residential, or institutional projects. The role includes heat load calculations, equipment selection, ducting and piping design, preparation of technical submissions, and coordination with clients, consultants, and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare HVAC system designs as per project requirements and applicable standards.
- Perform heat load calculations using industry practices/software.
- Design chilled water systems, VRV/VRF systems, ventilation, exhaust, and pressurization systems.
- Prepare duct sizing, pipe sizing, ESP calculations, and airflow calculations.
- Selection of HVAC equipment including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, ventilation fans, and controls.
- Prepare technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and BOQs.
- Review tender documents, specifications, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and architectural teams.
- Prepare technical submittals and material approval documents.




- Support procurement team with technical clarifications and vendor evaluations.
- Attend client/consultant meetings and resolve design-related queries.
- Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, ISHRAE, and project standards.
- Provide technical support during execution, testing, and commissioning stages.
- Review site conditions and recommend engineering solutions where required.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in HVAC design and project coordination.
- Knowledge of HVAC design standards and practices.

Preferred Skills:

- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of HAP, Carrier software, or equivalent load calculation software.
- Understanding of HVAC controls and BMS integration.
- Good knowledge of ducting, piping, insulation, and ventilation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.

Experience:

- Fresher to 4 years depending upon role requirement.
