Job Summary The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing project billing activities for electrical projects at site. The role includes quantity verification, client billing, subcontractor billing, BOQ reconciliation, measurement records, coordination with execution teams, and ensuring timely submission of invoices and certification of bills. Key Responsibilities 1. Client Billing & RA Bill Preparation Prepare Running Account (RA) bills as per work progress and contract terms. Verify executed quantities from site measurements and drawings. Prepare and submit client bills/invoices on time. Coordinate with clients/consultants for bill certification and approvals. Maintain billing records and payment tracking. 2. Quantity Estimation & Measurement Take measurements from site and prepare measurement sheets (MB). Verify executed quantities against BOQ (Bill of Quantity). Prepare quantity reconciliation for electrical works including:
Cable laying Cable tray installation Conduiting & wiring Lighting systems Earthing systems Panel installation HT/LT electrical works 3. Variation / Extra Item Billing Identify extra items, deviations, and variation works. Prepare supporting documents for extra claims and change orders. Coordinate with project execution team for approvals. 4. Subcontractor Billing Verify subcontractor work quantities. Check and certify subcontractor bills as per actual executed work. Ensure billing compliance with work orders and agreements. 5. Documentation & Coordination Maintain billing-related documentation and reports. Coordinate with: Site Engineers Planning Team Project Manager Accounts Department Client/Consultant representatives Maintain DPR-based billing records and progress tracking. 6. Cost Control & Reconciliation Monitor project quantities versus awarded BOQ. Prepare material and quantity reconciliation reports. Support project cost control and budget monitoring. Highlight quantity overruns and billing risks. Required
