Role & responsibilities
- Manage the complete workshop operations for Tippers, Trailers, Crane Grabs, Excavators, Loaders, and other Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM).
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
- Ensure maximum fleet uptime and operational efficiency.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, transmission, and engine-related issues.
- Supervise mechanics, electricians, welders, technicians, and workshop staff.
- Monitor spare parts inventory, vendor development, procurement, and maintenance costs.
- Ensure timely renewal of Fitness Certificates (FC), permits, insurance, and statutory compliance.
- Maintain maintenance records, job cards, equipment history, and workshop documentation.
- Implement safety procedures, 5S practices, and housekeeping standards within the workshop.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely vehicle availability.

Preferred candidate profile
- B.E./B.Tech/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
- 10+ years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Experience in Transport, Logistics, Port Operations, Mining, Infrastructure, Construction, or Engineering Industries will be preferred.
- Solid leadership, planning, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage workshop manpower and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
