Position: OT Technician
Department: Operation Theatre
Location: Medical College & Hospital

Job Purpose:
To assist the surgical team in ensuring safe, efficient, and hygienic operation theatre services while maintaining all required clinical and infection-control standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the OT, instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
- Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing staff during surgeries.
- Ensure proper sterilization, disinfection, and handling of surgical instruments.
- Maintain OT readiness, cleanliness, and adherence to infection-control protocols.
- Check availability and functionality of OT equipment and report any defects promptly.
- Assist with patient positioning, shifting, and preparation as required.
- Maintain accurate records of OT procedures, consumables, and instrument counts.
- Follow surgical safety checklist, biomedical waste management, and other OT SOPs.




- Coordinate with CSSD, Nursing, Housekeeping, and other departments for smooth OT functioning.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and replenishment of OT supplies.
- Maintain qualified, courteous, and cooperative behaviour with patients and staff.

Qualification:
Diploma/B.Sc. in Operation Theatre Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution.

Experience:
1+ years of relevant experience in a hospital/medical college preferred.

Key Competencies:
Technical knowledge of OT procedures, infection control, sterilization practices, attention to detail, teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.

Pay: ₹19,800.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
