Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing
- Plan and procure materials, components, equipment and services required for manufacturing.
- Issue Purchase Orders and monitor supplier performance.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms and delivery schedules.
- Manage supplier relationships and purchasing records.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely material availability.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Production for current product introductions and engineering changes.

Import & Logistics
- Coordinate import shipments from China and other international suppliers.
- Work with freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation providers.
- Manage import documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Track shipments and resolve logistics issues that could impact production.
- Monitor inbound/outbound freight costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Supplier Development & Localization
- Identify opportunities to source components from qualified Indian suppliers.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities based on quality,



manufacturing capacity, cost and delivery performance.
- Coordinate supplier audits and qualification activities with Engineering and Quality.
- Develop long-term supplier relationships.
- Lead supplier localization, cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory Management
- Maintain optimum inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Establish reorder points and safety stock levels.
- Coordinate with Production Planning and Warehouse teams.
- Monitor inventory accuracy and support inventory control processes.

Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain supplier agreements, purchasing records and logistics documentation.
- Track and report purchasing, supplier and logistics KPIs.
- Support internal and external audits related to purchasing and supply chain.
