Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Modern Trade Sales professional to manage and grow business with key modern trade retail accounts such as Walmart, Reliance Retail, DMart, Spencer’s, Metro, More, Star Bazaar, Nature’s Basket and other large-format retail chains.

The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing key accounts, driving product visibility and distribution, coordinating promotions, and developing strong relationships with modern trade customers.

Key Responsibilities1. Modern Trade Account Management
- Manage assigned up-to-date trade accounts and develop strong relationships with key buyers and category managers.
- Handle day-to-day business operations with large retail chains.
- Coordinate with purchase teams, category managers,



store teams and internal sales teams.
- Negotiate listings, promotions, visibility, margins and commercial terms within company guidelines.
- Ensure smooth order processing, billing, delivery and payment collection.

2. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for assigned accounts.
- Drive sales growth through new product listings, increased distribution and improved product visibility.
- Identify opportunities for expansion across new stores, regions and product categories.
- Prepare and implement account-wise sales plans.
- Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions where required.

3. Promotions & Trade Marketing
- Plan and execute promotional activities, discounts, schemes and consumer offers.
- Coordinate with the marketing/trade marketing team for in-store promotions.
