Role & responsibilities
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and sales forecasts.
- Release and monitor production work orders in coordination with manufacturing departments.
- Plan and schedule machining, assembly, testing, painting, and dispatch activities.
- Coordinate with the Purchase and Stores departments to ensure timely availability of raw materials, bought-out items, and consumables.
- Monitor production progress and identify bottlenecks affecting delivery schedules.
- Follow up with production teams to ensure adherence to the production plan.
- Maintain production planning records and update ERP systems with production status.
- Coordinate with the Quality department to ensure timely inspection and clearance of finished products.
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and optimise inventory levels.
- Prepare production reports, capacity utilisation reports, and order status reports for management review.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Dispatch departments to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Assist in capacity planning,



resource allocation, and production optimisation initiatives.
- Analyse production variances and recommend corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Preferred candidate profile
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning and Control (PPC) in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally ERP, or similar).
- Positive understanding of production scheduling, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), capacity planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Knowledge of machining, assembly, testing, and valve manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
