Job Summary

As a Web Development Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative engineering team responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining up-to-date web applications. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly experiences across FOXs digital platforms.

You will contribute to the development of high-quality software, participate in technical discussions, and help ensure our applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

We re looking for like-minded people for news-focused initiatives within the Emerging Technologies organization. This role helps extend and evolve digital products that support newsroom workflows, content discovery, and audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Applications
- Build and maintain web applications using modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js, and related frameworks.
- Implement new features and enhancements based on product and business requirements.
- Write clean, maintainable,



and well-tested code.
Collaboration
- Partner with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences.
- Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and technical reviews.
Code Quality
- Participate in peer code reviews and incorporate feedback to maintain engineering standards.
- Follow established coding guidelines, development processes, and best practices.
Performance and Reliability
- Help identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and usability concerns.
- Contribute to application stability, scalability, and maintainability.
Testing and Debugging
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Troubleshoot production issues and support ongoing application improvements.
Security and Documentation
- Follow security best practices to protect user data and application integrity.
