We are looking for an experienced AGM / DGM Purchase to lead the Non-BOM Purchase function for our Garment/Textile business.
The person will be responsible for managing vendors, negotiating prices, reducing costs and ensuring timely availability of all non-BOM materials and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Non-BOM procurement for consumables, maintenance items, services, indirect materials and other requirements.
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor network.
- Negotiate with vendors for the best price, quality and payment terms.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and cost reduction.
- Prepare and review cost comparisons and should-costing for major purchases.
- Evaluate and monitor vendor performance.
- Develop current and alternate vendors wherever required.
- Ensure materials and services are purchased on time as per business requirements.
- Monitor purchase spend and track cost savings.
- Prepare MIS reports, cost analysis and dashboards using MS Excel.
- Prepare PPT presentations for management reviews.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations, Engineering, HR and other departments for purchase requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and processes.
- Lead, guide and develop the Purchase team.
- Improve purchase processes and identify opportunities for better efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- 15-18 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Experience in Non-BOM / Indirect Procurement is mandatory.
- Garment / Textile / Apparel industry experience is preferred.
- Strong experience in vendor negotiation and cost reduction.
- Good knowledge of cost analysis and should-costing.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel including Pivot Tables, formulas and data analysis.
