416 Pasta Bar is a modern pasta and café concept focused on fresh, handmade pasta, from-scratch sauces, quality ingredients and thoughtful cooking techniques.
We are looking for passionate and hardworking cooks to join our opening kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh pasta in-house, including mixing, rolling, cutting and shaping different pasta varieties.
- Prepare sauces, stocks, broths, marinades, dressings and other components from scratch.
- Execute pasta dishes consistently according to 416 recipes and standards.
- Handle and cook different proteins including chicken, seafood and other meats used on the menu.
- Understand different cooking methods including grilling, roasting, pan-searing, braising, frying and slow cooking.
- Maintain proper mise en place and ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service.
- Follow recipes, portioning and plating standards accurately.
- Maintain proper food storage,
labelling and FIFO practices.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients responsibly.
- Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Coordinate closely with the kitchen team and communicate shortages or issues immediately.
- Assist with opening, closing and daily kitchen cleaning.
- Be willing to learn new techniques, recipes and cooking methods from senior chefs.
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3 years of skilled kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong basic cooking and knife skills.
- Good understanding of pasta and Italian-style cooking is an advantage.
- Experience with fresh pasta is highly preferred.
- Comfortable working with sauces, stocks and preparations from scratch.
- Understanding of different cooking methods and protein handling.
- Good sense of seasoning and flavour.
