Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager – Events & Catering to oversee the overall operations of events and catering services. The ideal candidate should have 3–5 years of relevant experience in event management, catering, banquet operations, or hospitality, with strong leadership and client-management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end-to-end events and catering operations, from planning to execution.
- Manage corporate events, weddings, social functions, banquets, and large-scale catering assignments.
- Lead and supervise event coordinators, chefs, service staff, and support teams.
- Coordinate with clients to understand requirements, menus, budgets, themes, and service expectations.
- Develop event plans, operational schedules, manpower plans, and execution checklists.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, decorators, venues, and other service partners.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, service standards, hygiene, and safety.
- Manage event budgets, operational costs, inventory, and minimize food wastage.
- Handle client negotiations, feedback, complaints, and last-minute requirements.
- Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing team to convert leads and generate repeat business.
- Monitor event profitability, revenue, customer satisfaction, and operational KPIs.
- Prepare event reports and provide regular performance updates to management.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Event Management, Catering Technology, Tourism Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in Events, Catering, Banquet Operations, Hospitality, or Event Management.
- MBA/PGDM in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or Marketing is an added advantage.
- Solid knowledge of event planning, catering operations, food service, and hospitality standards.
- Excellent leadership, client handling, negotiation, and team management skills.
