Job Summary Dr. Shoukat Ali Layer Eye Hospital is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Staff Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in the ophthalmology department. The candidate will assist doctors during eye examinations, surgeries, and patient recovery while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients in OPD, wards, and operation theatre.
- Assist ophthalmologists during eye examinations and surgical procedures.
- Prepare patients for surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patient condition before and after surgery.
- Administer medications, eye drops, injections, and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness, sterilization, and infection control standards.
- Educate patients and attendants regarding eye care, medications, and recovery instructions.
- Coordinate with doctors and hospital staff for smooth patient management.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and professionally.
- RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing).
- Valid nursing registration/license.
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred.
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
