We are looking for an experienced ITI Fitter (Mechanical) to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for mechanical fitting, assembly, installation, maintenance, and fabrication-related work as per engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical fitting and assembly work.
- Read and understand mechanical/engineering drawings.
- Carry out cutting, drilling, grinding, filing, and fitting work.
- Assemble mechanical parts, machines, and equipment.
- Perform machine installation, alignment, and maintenance.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Check dimensions and ensure proper fitting and alignment.
- Identify and rectify mechanical fitting problems.
- Assist engineers and supervisors in fabrication and maintenance activities.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping.
Skills Required
- ITI in Fitter/Mechanical Trade.
- Practical knowledge of mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Measuring Tape, etc.
- Basic knowledge of machine components and mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of drilling, grinding, cutting, and alignment work.
- Positive troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious and disciplined.
Experience
2–5 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Fitter is preferred.
